City Watch is a crime prevention program (like a Neighborhood and Business Watch) which enlists the active participation of residents and businesses in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in downtown Macon. With the leadership of the City Watch Coordinator, the downtown community will be a much safer place to live, work and play!
City Watch is truly a grassroots effort. In the early months of 2009 several downtown businessmen, developers, and residents came together to try and answer the question, “What can we do to help clean up our city?”
The answer from that meeting was the creation of City Watch. City Watch works with other organizations to help combat crime in downtown as well as assist in beautifying our city.
City Watch is IN our city, WITH our city, and FOR our city.
